Santa Helena's Chapter 8 Outline (Please Comment!)

Mon Nov 9, 2009, 5:19 AM
Here's my outline for Chapter 8; if you have any suggestions, comment! If you see a "?" on something, that means I'm not sure 'bout what the hell I'm gonna do. Well, here goes:

Cheap synopsis:

Our protagonists and crew members get captured by the Irish special forces on a swamp-jungle region on Hoap Les. They're forced to dig for some special magicrystals to power up machines... The Crimson Avalanchers and some M/WITCHes (Men's/Women's Irish Tactical Combat Heroes/Heroines) venture into the Forlorn Mines to find something... Somewhere in the cave, our Avalanchers come up with a plan to escape...

New Characters:

MITCHes: Ashford, Boyd

WITCHes: Forsythe, Faden, Cathcart, Cormac.

(*Note: these soldiers have the same physical capabilities as Satoko!)

New Monsters:

Kung fu dinos, funny-looking cavemen/women ghosts, forlorn bats, a mini-boss?, miner zombies, megazombies, <insert any cute-looking monsters>

Main Narrator:

Similie Steiner

Now, here's the big part, the outline: (*Note: our heroes will be fending off monsters/traps throughout their whole spelunking adventure.)

1. Crimsons and crew members ("NPCs") awake on the beach and learn Brown Arith. from Toko and Mack.

2. They change into dry outfits and venture into the jungle

3. They encounter Forsythe and loose in a "duel"; other soldiers finally show up and surround our heroes and NPCs; they get disarmed, and Faden gives our heroes a magihilt (more details in the actual chapter).

4. They arrive at the base, which is a step up from a typical concentration camp! The crew members stay and toil at the entrance of the Forlorn Mines, while our Crimsons are forced to go deeper in the cave!

5. Lt. Faden, Cathcart, Ashford, Boyd, and Cormac are assigned to watch over the Crimsons, and they go through the straightforward/windy parts of the cave, eliminating weak monsters.

6. Funny water scenario: Part of the ground breaks on them, leaving them in a small, deep pool. Similie can't swim; so, Toko has to help him out...They encounter a few puzzles.

7. They wade and swim through some watery parts of the cave, using Green Arith. for air bubbles when necessary.

8. They deal with some lava/hotties/moltems and ride on some fast, high-tech railcars for some super-fast-paced action!

9. They deal with sulfur dioxide and megamonsters (tougher version of weak monsters like zombies), along with a few gear puzzles.

10. They come across the ancient gundam woman (Project Kathoey?) at the bottom of the cave and fend off more megamonsters and a mini-boss?

11. A dino manages to get inside Kathoey's cockpit (head) and unwittingly turns it on, chasing the characters out of the lowest chambers.

12. Blazing their escape route of megamonsters, the M/WITCHes eventually run out of laserarm power, making them far less menacing to our Crimson Avalanchers; thus, our Crimsons, using the gundam's stray lasers to help, take out their captors and take their magihilts.

13. Controlled by a mindless dino, Kathoey wildly bumps into walls and stuff and eventually drops its gigantic rifle, which our heroes lug around via gravitational Arith.

14. The dino drives Kathoey aimlessly, and Kathoey trips; the dino doesn't know how to get Kathoey back up and retreats.

15 Once at the cave entrance, the Avalanchers take out the task makers, liberate their crew members and other "unauthorized visitors," and keep some more magihilts and magibands.

16. Alarmed, the Irish military tries to put down the resistance.

17. Our heroes blow away soldiers and tanks with Kathoey's massive rifle; whenever the rifle overheats, the Avalanchers suck its thermal energy via Green Arith.; funny/angry dialogue comes every now and then.

18. Once Kathoey's rifle runs out of energy, our heroes/NPCs are outgunned and get pinned down by mounted Gatling turrets. Using Satoko's tactics, the NPCs finally occupy the Gatling turrets and fend off some more M/WITCHes.

19. Satoko vs. Forsythe (boss battle).

20. By the time reinforcements arrive, the NPCs and Crimsons escape by taking keycards from dead soldiers to drive the hover trucks/jeeps

21. Glossary of magihilt/magiband functions.

A Word of Caution:

Similie is likely going to use stringy, compound-complex sentences. This chapter may be as long as Ch. 6 and 7. I have nothing against Irish people!

Scratch that. It IS finished :) Hopefully you'll like it! I did several things:

1. Fixed some basic grammar mistakes.
2. Made the story generally flow better
3. Tried to keep the writing in line with your natural writing style (that way you couldn't tell who wrote what parts unless you had the two stories to compare side by side)
4. Added some detail to some of the scenes (for example, somehow Matt and Sakoto magically go from the mountain to the forest without any action... problem solved ^^)

Let me know how you want me to get it to you, and then you can let me know what you think ^^ Oh, and depending on what you think, I may ask a favor of you in return :P

Microsoft Word 2007 can save things as a DOCX format. If you don't want to, you can always send me a DA note with the prologue in it.

Aw, c'mon, what's the favor? You helped me out; so, I gotta help you out, right? :boogie:

I emailed the DocX formatted one to you at your gmail account ^^

And it involved the rendering art you do... but I have no idea how time-consuming that is, but I didnt really think of it until after I'd already asked lol
